God's Promises to You

The idea behind the entire book Moving Beyond Anxiety was to fill your mind with faith.  To replace fear and anxiety with promises - the trustworthy promises of God.

The Bible reveals his promises.  His Word declares that God himself will take care of you, and that you can know peace when life is difficult.  You can experience his love when all seems hopeless.

When feeling anxious, do this: Read, study, memorize, and obey these verses:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.  Philippians 4:6

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.  John 14:27

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.  Psalm 94:19

I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.  Psalm 34:4

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.  1 Peter 5:7

I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.  Luke 12:22

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 2:17

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.  Isaiah 26:3

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear.  For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.  1 John 4:18

Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”  Isaiah 35:4

Let not your hearts be troubled.  Believe in God; believe also in me.  John 14:1

May God’s grace guide you and give you victory over anxiety.  May you move beyond anxiety – for this is God’s will for your life.
