Turn on the porch light and welcome your neighbors who come to trick or treat! Use this as an opportunity to get to know them. And, have the BEST treats on the street!

 

Have your kids dress up in non-scary costumes and join in the fun. Give them small flashlights and remind them that Halloween can be about scary things, but we believe that Jesus is the Light of the world and that He will always be with them.

 

Have a costume contest with your kids and the neighbors' kids. Put out lots of craft supplies (streamers, balloons, puff balls, googly eyes, etc.) and see who can come up with the funniest costume. Or, let them decorate pumpkins with the craft supplies.
